Original shots taken by Mike Vickers, post-processing by mel ell
This was my first time editing photos in Photoshop and it was a whole of fun. I learned about noise reduction and sharpening and changing light colors. They might be a bit overworked but I had a great time working on them and taking them with Mike. Hope you guys like them too!

The costume includes color changing LEDs on the spine and front that are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and onboard RGB controllers (respectively), and is powered by 16 AA batteries, two 2032 coin cells, and one 9-volt battery. In total there's more than 70 LED's on the entire costume

I'm curious, what is the material you used to make the blade? and those black patterns running along it? It looks awesome with the LEDs, almost like a sharp, futuristic white.

Oh my goodness, the amount of detail on this costume! and LEDs add to the epic-ness of it! (There are so many things I want to compliment about this costume but I don't think I'd be able to summarize all of it in one day)

Incredible work! Unfortunately, this image isn't displaying in BuzzFeed's article on the best cosplays of 2012 - and it's the first image in the article. Hope that can get fixed. Congrats!

There isn't a good enough comment for this cosplay. Simply Amazing! Not only did this take extraordinary effort to make, but all of it comes together so well. Major props to the photographer and editor as well. I'm really impressed by this!! =]
